I am 33 weeks pregnant and have been going to the mall the past few days to walk. Is it possible to walk too much and send me to labor early? What is a good time limit a day for walking?

Usually walking is considered safe unless you have a condition preventing you from walking. Always good to check with your doctor.

Every person is different. Do what you are comfortable with but keep doing something. Walking is approved right up until labor begins. It won't bring on premature labor but there is a rumor that it helps the labor process along once it begins. It also helps with those nasty braxton-hicks.

If you have been doing this walking before you got pregnant, you should be okay. You might want to set a time limit of 30 minutes per day-if you haven't done this regularly before getting pregnant-then please build up by 10 min. increments. Also, please feel free to talk with your doctor on this as well. Wish for you a happy, healthy baby! Take care.
