Any type of invasive surgical procedure can harm your body.

Are you asking if it will definitely affect your future fertility? Possibly. Scar tissue can be created from the procedure. Death? Also a possibility. However, both of these are not as likely as people might have you believe.

Just make sure that if you're considering an abortion, that you're doing it for the right reasons, and that there is absolutely NO other alternative.

"Tarzan" and I miscarried a baby many years ago. I had to have a D&C, which is pretty much the same procedure. It didn't do permanent damage, but it did make it difficult for me to conceive again...took about two years.

It does not destroy your body. It can make it harder to conceive again though
