i actually enjoyed "the polar express" more than i thought i would.
what i did NOT enjoy was "madagascar." there wasn't enough story and the main characters weren't that memorable. and those lemurs were too ridiculous to be of any humour. but maybe this movie and "the polar express" just wasn't well-rounded enough to be called a "great family movie." but still entertaining for a kid movie.

Try "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" or "Baby Geniuses"; those are very stupid, and bad. A lot of kids and adults like "Polar Express", but like many movies, some just aren't some people's cup of tea. But I don't know if that warrants calling it stupid. Certainly we have kids in danger without supervision going off on their own, but so do many kid's movies.
"Police Academy" and "Weekend at Bernies" were stupid, but not necessarily unenjoyable, more like guilty pleasures.

Are you kidding me? My 8 year old grandson watched it not long before Christmas and he was just beginning to think that there wasn't a Santa Clause. Then after he watched it we took him to Disney World and he found a bell on the sidewalk after the parade and he shook it by his ear and he looked at me and said "Nana, I can still hear the bell."
That is a great kids movie. All 7 of my grandchildren love it.

I never saw the movie but I grew up reading the book, and I always loved the story. It thrilled me as a kid because it was so magical.

I hate that movie!!! My two sons love it and I just don't get why. The animation totally creeps me out!

I have to say I agree. I had to sit through it in the theatre... it was soooo darn slow.
