Vanilla--I don't think Bush hates Arabs. I don't think a majority of Americans hate Arabs. It's terrorists (and not all terrorists are Arabs). Admittedly--many are ignorant because of the hysteria in the aftermath of 9/11 and I think that is being dealt with. This is (or once was) a great tolerant nation--of every nationality. Its the extremists (not just Muslims but left and right wings of our political parties) that add to the hysteria. I hope you understand that 9/11 was a wake up call to the us--I think we still are sorting that out!

I'm from Canada, & my suggestions would be to quickly resovle the Iraq situation. Engage in "real" diplomacy with threats to world security, such as North korea & Iran. Finally a return to more moderate political leadership, this has been lacking for some time. I believe if these were to happen the United States would began a path of reconciliation throughout the world.

Your former president, William J. Clinton, a very good president (to my point of view and as far as foreign policy is concerned) had lots of problems because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. It was just ridiculous because what's important is political achievements and not personal life. What's even more ridiculous is that after harrasing Clinton for such an unimportant mistake it doesn't seem that Mr Geoge W. Bush is going to be prosecuted for lying to his own people (the so-called WMD) and starting an useless war. Compare what Mr Slobodan Milosevic did with what Mr George Bush did and you'll see very little difference. But Mr Milosevic died in prison while Mr Bush is very likely to retire with no problems. Isn't it time for the American people to demand some explanations from their head of state ?
The USA would regain some credibility by joining the Tokyo treaty and taking seriously the global warming issue. The USA are responsible for a large part of gas emissions. The fate of the whole planet is at stake. Is Mr Gore the only American politician aware of this problem ?
The US should also stop interfeering with South American politics. You may not like Evo Morales or Hugo Chavez but Latino-Americans have a right to chose their leaders. That's what democracy is about.
And a more personal note :
I'm tired with reading stupid lies about my country and my people on the net. People who call us names (surrender monkeys, etc.) should realize that they are just making fools of themselves.
The United States have a long history of excellent presidents (Roosevelt, Clinton, Wilson, Kennedy and many more). I hope the next one will be a sensible person and that your country will soon start again being a country that one can trust, respect and admire.

To stop starting wars just to get richer, where in the hell are the mass destruction weapons of Iraq? just a cheap excuse to take the oil....and Canadian soldiers die for the wealth of george bush...screw that idiot...

The number 1 thing I would change is the American education system. The Americans have blinders on when it comes to educating their children about history. You may be able to name 50 states and 30 Presidents, but I doubt you could name 20 countries.

-get rid of bush as president. i think he's just making everything worse than it needs to be.
-ban guns for personal use in house holds. it would prevent a lot of unessesary deaths. (for ex. children getting a hold of them and taking them to school).
-they should stop being fighters, and be more like lovers. Canada is more a piece keeping country, where as the U.S is out to kill kill kill. I think they should look at the rep they have as a country and take some of the critisims they get into consideration.
Obviously from that last remark...i am from Canada. And very proud to be!

get rid of bush prisoner transfer him to saudi for bin laden.
bring your troops home to be safe with their families.
stick to defending your borders and not meddling in foreign countries.
spend money on health care and raising the lives of your own citizens before worrying about the outside world
