Yes....they will be grateful to you and you will be a better person for doing it! At the end of the day even if they don't thank you for it....you know you have done the right thing!

When we moved to a new town, new state.. I was prepared to trudge through a lot of new stuff myself.. My husband had not arrived yet and the truck driver wasn't going to wait.. It was just my two daughters and myself... It was a god-send when some neighbors offered to help us un-load the truck.. The neighbors pitched in,, even called in a couple of friends.. had the task done in a heart-beat...

One of them offered 'if you ever have a question call me'
I called him once.. and took his suggestion...

I appreciated it more than they will ever know...in the last 13 years I have done favors for people, just to help out.. for example.. a guy was riding his 10-speed bicycle down the highway.. he hit something.... blew a tire... he maintained balance pretty good but eventually ended up with some road rash.. We loaded up the bike into the back of the truck and took him back to his place... He offered money but all we accepted was his thanks...

Do whatever you feel comfortable with... don't expect anything in return... follow your heart

Treat others as you'd like to them to treat you...I'm sure if you were new to town you'd like someone to give a helping hand so I would say yes, do help the person. Extend kindness and somewhere down the line someone will do the same to you :-)

Yes. Just imagine how you would feel if you were new in town and needed help.

Absolutely - you would like any help or advise if you were in a new place. If you are chatting to them you should be able to pick up if they want to go it alone by observing their body language. Go for it - you may make a new friend.
