Anywhere under the 6th fret. This one is tricky, because you don't actually fret the first note.
On your first example, you probably hit the 5 for a second, before sliding to the 6th.
On the second, you don't really fret the first note. Just start with your hands barely pushing down on the string, not really enough to fret a note. Start sliding towards your desired note (the 6th fret) and hit the string. It doesn't matter where your left hand is, as long as you are before the 6th fret.
