You could take it to a jeweler and ask, but some charge for that service. There is a free way you can test it yourself. If it scratches glass, it's real. If it won't, it's fake. Just don't test it on any glass you care about!

Take it to a jeweler. Diamonds can scratch glass, If you have a mirror or some glass you do not want you can try to scratch it. I would take it to a jeweler though.

scrape it along a mirror, if it doesnt make a scratch its fake, if it does, then its not fake. (you have to use the flat surface of the diamond)

if it cuts glass its real....but most jewelry stores can tell by a simple test most wont even charge you.....if it was a gift....dont bother checking ..just enjoy the diamond who really cares.
