I believe Huckleberry Finn is a well thought out book that deals with a lot of issues that were going on with the time. It's not a classic for nothing. It is a satirical piece that makes fun of slavery, religion, family feuds, con artists, and lots of other things. But it also has a lot of morals as well, especially between Huck and Jim. There are lots of hidden things in the book that take a long time to really appreciate.

I agree with Ernest Hemingway. He said:

"All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called 'Huckleberry Finn.' If you read it you must stop where ... Jim is stolen from the boys. That is the real end."

I loved the book. I read it 15 years ago in high school and loved it. I read it again last year and I think I loved it even more then. It is a classic. Fun, entertaining, well thought out and well written. One of my favorites. Good for teenagers but better enjoyed as an adult.
