Will think for a min was goth so knowen like it is today before marilyn manson came out(NO). why would a 38 year old with lots of money that does not have to make anymore cd's put on make up like he does if he was not goth? ( HE IS GOTH PEOPLE) he is the goth king in music and of the world. he was the one that made goth knowen to people all over the world why would goths want to down him for that? Marilyn Manson is goth and everyone knows it they just try to say he is not goth to piss people off. people that have been fans for a good many years like me. So give it up, marilyn manson is here to stay. He is my gothic rock star forever and always.(THEIR WOULD NOT BE 1/2 AS MANY GOTHS TO DAY IF IT WAS NOT FOR MARILYN MANSON SOME OF YOU WOULD NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT GOTH IS OR WAS). Marilyn Manson is gothic and has referred to himself as such and been referred to by goths all over the world. He is gothic. No doubt about it. Anyone who opens their mouth with out thinking first is just shoving their foot in it on this one. Its not just the make up though that makes the goth. Its the lifestyle. Any one can wear make up. How you live is the big one. But yes he is gothic. 100% a dark child. Any one disagree?

he's a very smart man and knows how to gain attention with his apperance. that is no different than a lindsey lohan or paris hilton. he's just got a different approach, and it worked. good for him.
i just love his fans, though. dressed head to toe in black from hot topic and then claim to be unique and individualistic without even a hint of irony. marilyn himself probably finds this corperate atrocity to be a riot.
