4/12

you take 6/4 times 3 to find a LCD
which makes it 18/12
so you get 4/12-18/12
which is -14/12
which is -7/6 simplified

The first thing I would do is reduce the fractions:

(1/3) - (3/2). Now find LCD of 6 & multiply the fractions by (a/a) in such a way that each winds up with the LCD as its denominator

2/6 - 9/6.

Subtract the numerators, put that over the LCD

(2-9)/6

-7/6

Find the least common denominator
4/12-18/12
Then subtract the numerator and keep the denominator
