Hi there, yes I took this pill or a similar one (I cant remember exact name but it was mini pill with one hormone in), but why I am answering is because I felt EXACTLY as you did & I feel I should tell you what happened to me.
I was just the same, I took it regularly as you should & at first it worked fine. My periods stopped (which it said it could do) but I was not so worried about that. But after a couple of weeks I began crying more, feeling upset more. Eventually I began feeling down about everything, had no motivation to get up or do anything & lost my go for life. My boyf was worried & at the time being on holiday phoned the doc in england. They said I was to stop taking it & use alternative contraception & to see them once home. I made an appoint & did. They explained the pill contains hormone progestrogen like that your body produces leading up to your period. Therefore it was making me experience symptoms like PMT. Unfortunately though they said I was a rare case but I was obviously very sensitive or allergic to this as it was causing serious PMT style symptoms like mild depression. As soon as I stopped taking it I felt so much better. I tried taking it on two occasions in my life & it did same both times so I knew the pill was to blame. I asked if there was an alternative similar pill but they explained I was already on the one containing lowest dose of the hormone there was. They said I was to not try taking this again.
Therefore I definately dont think you should live with it. The symptoms did not wear off with time but increased as the drug was permantly in me. The clinic advised to no longer use this as it was not suitable for me & it sounds the same with you. Go back to your doc or a family planning clinic - thats where I went & they were SO helpfull with it all & talked & explained it all. Find your nearest clinic & go asap because they can help, change pill, advise you etc, you will feel much better once you stop taking it.
I hope this helps & you can get it all sorted!

I too was on microgynon 30 and WOW - mood swings galore! I think i stuck it out for about 3months before going to the doctor sure that they would prescribe me with skitzo medication!!
Unfortunately mood swings/depression can be a side effect. I would go to the doctor and tell them what is happening, how you are feeling, and make sure you tell them you suspect it may be from the pill! They will prescribe you a different one.
Don't worry though - i went through about 4 different ones until i finally found one that didn't have side effects for me.... and now i'm 29wks pregnant so birth control is a bit invalid at the moment! lol.
Good luck - make sure you see the doctor!!!

I was on this pill for years and i can honestly say this never happened to me. Maybe your body just doesn't agree with this particular pill. Best thing to do is to visit your doctor and ask for an alternative see how that goes x

You slacking off? i'm slacking in college, yet i'm ok. Your mom's B-day coming up? I supply up giving my mothers and fathers present after I turn 13. P.s i'm no longer crying. in case you wonderful your mom so annoying basically submit such as her. i do not understand your existence, yet for my area you may want to not be crying..because you round 20..this is even more effective embarrassing. My little brother keeps disrespecting our mom, he crys. I do it, my mom yells at me and insults me I insult again she receives more effective mad and seems disappointing in me, i do not care and walk away. lengthy tale short: don't be a wimp. in case you mad at existence get a job or something. supply her a card.

it sounds very much like a side effect...
best to head back to the doctors... there are other medications they can try... I had a friend go through about 5 different ones before she found one that suited her... whilst she was trying all the different ones she was a nightmare!
It is not uncommon for this to happen.. best to go back and try another one.
Good luck.

It could just be the extra hormaones from the pill. I doubt it is pregnancy. The pill mimics pregnancy which can make you feel over emotional.
