for your basic informational site, it can be done pretty cheap. There are free templates that you can use. Most hosting companies will be around $7 to $15 per month. Maintenance may cost you more if you want someone to do it for you. We build informational sites for about $300 and $40/hr to maintain them. We don't host though.

You mean the host? Yahoo! charges $12 per month (domain registration included free). I know of another (no advertising here) for $7 per month, and you have to register the name yourself for $7 per year...

You mean a human bean who develops and maintains websites? I've heard of them charging from measly $30 per hour to unruly amounts more depending on their skillsets and how complex and fancy and interactive and fashionable you want your website to look

depens google started just whit 3 people you can make it on your own really depending on your services. A forum site needs around 3 but they can be users too so its like nothing
