I can not believe I have read every comment and not once found someone mention LeBron James. First off the guy can do it all so there goes the Wade comparison. James has better stats at this point in his career than Kobe (plus James will get even better) so Kobe is knocked out. Nash and Dirk are the only certifiable contenders. I believe Nash has better leadership, but I wouldn't want to give him the rock with the game on the line IF I had Lebron on my team instead. I also remember watching thoes playoffs last year where he had not just one but a few KEY turnovers which might have cost them the NBA Finals birth. I'd like for Steve to pass it to him, but I'd rather see Lebron shoot or drive when the buzzer sounds. Dirk is an amazing player. He's long, he's tall, and the man can post you up. If I'm going to say that someone is THE best at this second currently I'll have to say that Dirk is the best player in the NBA. However, Lebron will soon surpass EVERYONE. In two to three years he'll be averaging a triple-double. And I see him soon completing the quadruple-double!

Kobe- what a joke
DWAYNE (that is how u spell it morons..yet u guys r picking him wow) Wade- I m from WI yet still think he is good but not the best, but has the ability to carry a team so #2
Duncan- A PF cant take over a game
Arenas- FG % sucks but game winning shots at the end of 4th he is 6 for 6 so he is #3
That leaves Steve Nash. the guy can play the whole game average 19 pts and 11 assts with a FG% of 53. WOW. So with pts and assts he gets his team 41 pts a game (19+(11times2)). Not to mention automatic at the line decent defender and helps his teammates.

dirk nowitzki, also the hardest worker in the nba. an all-star who works each year as hard as he does to improve is amazing. plus, he's proven his ability to lead the Mavs to the Finals, and this year he just might lead the team to a title

Dwayne Wade because he can shoot long shots, he can dunk, he gets rebounds, and unlike Carmello and A.I. he passes the ball.

Steve Nash
He's my favorite because he's good at assists and is fast even though he is smaller than everyone else.
