Can i get around disabling my Norton to get the new Vista?

I have been told to disable my Norton in order to get the new Vista. Is there a way around it

I would suggest you wait a couple months for vista
give them a change to work on all the problems

in my opinion, norton slow doen your computer and is way to expensive, i use zone alarm and avg anivirus. norton is also very expensive.
