If you are using a windows operating system you can do the ff.:
- right click on [My Computer]
- choose [Properties]
- click on the [Hardware] tab
- click on [Device Manager]
- on the Device Manager pop-up, expand on the [Universal Serial Bus controller] by clicking on the [+] sign
- You should see an "Enhanced" USB host controller present among the list if you have USB2.

I think the easiest way, if you know the make and model of your computer and/or motherboard, then you can look up the specs on the search engine. Alternatively, you can just read the manual that came with your motherboard/computer.

Another way is to check is to plug in a usb 2.0 device and see if it transfers at usb 2.0 speeds...

You can also go into the CMOS to check. There are always usb settings in the CMOS.

Probably the easiest way is. If you have a 2.0 device like a camera or flash drive etc.... Just plug it in, if you get a pop up in the lower right corner of your screen stating that this device can operate faster, then you don't have 2.0. If no message, hurray.

If you know your model, you could find this information on the manufacture website.
