I've never really PMS-ed before. You know, like, i never really had any cramps or mood swings before my period. But these days my stomach has been feeling really bad. Like my organs are being twisted and stuff.

What are some PMS symptoms and how to feel better? And how long before your period do you usually get this and how long will it last? Thanks!.

cramps, bloating, swollen and/or tender breasts, moodiness, are all common signs of PMS. It depends on the woman on how long it lasts, but for me it is usually no more than 5 days before my period and lasts through at least the first day of my period.

For relief there are a few good homemade remedies. My favourite is a rice bag.

Go to a store and buy some fleece. Cut out a rectangle so that when it is folded down the middle, it forms a long rectangle. It should be about 15-20 cm wide and 40-60 cm long. Sew up two sides (so only the top is open), and fill it 1/3 of the way with cheap rice. Sew it shut. Toss it in the microwave for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes and it will heat up! Don't mind the ricey smell though :P. It is wonderful to bring to bed with you and place on your stomach and you don't have to worry about mold or fermenting water from a water bottle.
