Anyone know the type of the biggest bee and wasp that still exist today? What I know is that bumble bee is the biggest bee, what about the biggest wasp?

bumble bee isnt the largest. its the Indonesian resin bee. They get 1.5" long.

the largest wasps are over 2" long, and can be much bigger than large bees.

Largest wasp is the Asian Giant Wasp. Can be over 1 1/2 inches long with a wingspan of over 3 inches.

There is a Japanese wasp that is huuuuuge. They're called sparrow wasp (direct translation) because it's as big as a sparrow (a small one). I think it might be the giant Asian wasp that the other guy is taking about. They are scary, but actually very beautiful. There is actually a guy in Japan that collects their nests and make sculptures out of them...and has a museum dedicated for them...
Another interesting bee fact... did you know that Japanese people eat bee larvae? I never tried it (they look gross) but apparently very nutritious.
