With money tight you'll have to use your mind more than your pocketbook. Here's a couple of ideas for you. 1) Try putting together a photo collage or a small photo album of the two of you - pictures from special times, etc. Write a few sentences about each picture to bring back memories whenver you both look at it. 2) Put together a "coupon book" for him. The "coupons" he could cash in with you could include a back rub, neck massage, you cooking his favorite meal, a night out with the boys, etc.
Anyone can go out and buy a present - he'll appreciate the effort and thought you put into this type of personalized gift.

Buy some massage oil (or baby oil) and give him a massage. Make dinner at home. Make some kind of sacrifice of your time or energy - i.e., watch sports with him, go golfing with him, etc. that you wouldn't usually do - that would be special for you two to do together.
