Try to put your mascara on lightly, so it's noticeable but not too noticeable, if you know what I mean. Also, a thin line of eyeliner, smudged, looks better than a thick one. If you use a colored eyeliner, like a plum or a green rather than black, that gives a nicer look. Don't wear a dark lipgloss. Try a soft pink. You can't really do anything about foundation...the purpose of it is to cover your face.

Additionally, a nice way to style hair is to let it air-dry for 20 minutes after you get out of the shower, then blow-dry it upside down. Don't use a brush or comb, but rather your fingers, gently. Then flip your head back and spray it lightly with hairspray. This gives your hair body, but it looks natural.

I highly doubt your head of year hates you because you don't look natural. Some people just don't get along. Don't be too hard on yourself, and do whatever you need to do in order to feel comfortable in your own skin.

you should wear lipgloss that matches your lip color, but makes it a little shinier. Your foundation should match your skintone and a powder will probably look the most natural. You should curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and then put a coat of clear mascara to make them long longer and make your eyes wider. Your eyeliner could be black or brown: these look the most natural, don't wear too much or it will look obvious and just remember: less is more! Hope this helps!

Maybe the shade you're buying is making you look fake. Try the Truematch stuff by Loreal. They come in a buncha diff shades. There's nothing wrong w/mascara and lipgloss as log as you wear a light shade and don't look like you lathered up with KY Jelly. If all you need is those 3 things then what's the problem? I say just improve the shade you're using and make sure you're blending properly.

1. don't wear foundation.
if you feel you MUST wear foundation: stick to mineral makeup.

2. lip gloss: get something clear, with no shimmer/glitter.

3. mascara: get Neutrogena "clean lash tint", which is not a thickener, but simply tints your lashes so they are all the same color. beautiful natural finish.

4. eyeliner: use a brush instead of a pencil, and use black or brown EYESHADOW (depending on your coloring), instead of actual eyeliner. get a super-thin brush, so the line is very thin. draw it on as close to your lashes as possible! you can get an ultra-thin brush for less than $5 at a well-stocked art store.

if you follow all those steps, i promise you'll look beautiful... and with a beautifully natural look!

good luck! =)

p.s. if you look into mineral makeup, be careful with Bare Minerals -- most people i know who used it either broke out (myself included), became oily/shiny easily, or it made their face itch. it contains an ingredient called "bismuth oxychloride," so steer clear of anything with that in it. personally, i love www.aubreynicole.com, but there are so many companies out there...

Wear colors that are more close to your actual skin tone. Instead of a dark red or bright red for lipgloss, use a light peach, etc. And don't overload the eye makeup--that's where most people go overboard. Just use a little bit.

Well sure wear the mascara but not too much of it of course! I suggest you go to victorias secret and get a suttle shade of eyeshadow like light brown or gold that is near your skin color. They really are nice and natural. If you insist on lip glodd get a natural shade. There is one from Maybeliline called "Nude Glow" I think. I forget what its called but something like that. And you will look natural and pretty!

P.S- Get Clinique perfectly real makeup! It's natural look!

Use a really light pink lip gloss, not a heavily colored one, and a natural colored eyeliner (brown, etc.). For mascara you don't need to go heavy, keep it to one coat. You can also try to use a less "bold" colored mascara (black)- I would say a brown or a clear mascara. Eyeshadow (if you want to wear it)- do a light pink. Light pink blush, also.

Wear concealer where you need it, mascara, petroleum jelly instead of lipgloss, no foundation- try powder, & NO eyeliner!

You want a natural look? Don't wear any make up at all... You can't get anymore natural than that... Don't buy into the hype, makeup is severely over rated and not necessary...
