Why is Wisconsin ranked number 2 in the majority of standings? The have a better record through more games than Florida (though Florida is a great team, don't get me wrong), and have beaten one of the teams that beat the number one team Florida (They beat Florida State pretty convincingly).
I don't understand it, I know Florida is the reigning championship team, and I know they have a pretty difficult schedule, but Wisconsin deserves to be number one for the record and amount they're producing this season. They also have a tough schedule and are doing better than anyone else with their matchups.

Why are they number 2?

Hey "I am Ringo Starr", the Badgers have beat Ohio St., Pittsburgh, and Marquette. Ohio St. and Pittsburgh are both currently in the top ten, and Marquette is in the top 15, so don't say that Wisconsin hasn't played anyone good. The Badgers are stacked this year, and are legitimate contenders for the national title. And Alando Tucker rocks! If Florida loses this week and the Badgers continue their winning streak, then the Badgers will be ranked number 1.

It's all about timing, and Florida had a couple of sick (stomach flu) players when they played FSU... Wisconsin is number two because the week that Florida jumped to #1 again, they beat a team that was in the top 5 and the #1 team lost, so they jumped Wisconsin. If they completely scrapped all previous rankings from memory and redid everything based only on the complete season to this point, Wisconsin may well be #1.

Homer opinion here. Who cares as long as we don't get jipped of a number one seed in the tourney. We always get underrated in those NCAA tourney. Wisconsin is loaded and if they keep it up or even lose to Ohio St, they still deserve a number one seed in the tourney. The season rankings dont mean that much to me. The depth that they have should get them into AT LEAST the final four. Lets just hope for the best and really who cares about the polls. Lets worry about the end of the year tourney.

I'm with you, the Badgers should be #1. That single loss to Missouri State was tough to swallow but the Gators lost to FSU and Kansas even though Kansas is playing well. Either way, Wisconsin is loaded with talent and the real team to beat.

Heck if I know. They just beat the Hawkeyes. And the Hawks are normally a great team.

Wisconsin is cold, plus i mean whats there...Cheese? Snow? what? Plus Florida is all about lying around the beach, drinking margaritas, and listening to jimmy buffet. Im mean c'com even maryland would beat the badgers. 21-1 is deceiving...who have they beat?
