When I was at school, I was hanging out with my boyfriend. A friend of mine and her boyfriend joined us. While we were having a discussion, a girl that's very mean saw us and knew that we were going out. At lunch, she started spreading rumors about us. Now a lot of peoploe know I like him, but we aren't going out or anything. This girl also spread rumors about my friend and her boyfriend. I'm just nervous if it'll start something and I don't want to fight her. Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

ignore her...let it go in one ear and out the other, you know the truth....dont let her think that all this is getting to you, because if she sees it does she will want to do it more and more.

Try to ignore her and the stupid rumors that she is spreading, your true friends will know the truth, and everyone else really don't matter. Stay truthful with your friends so if something is said to try and start a riff between you and your friend they won't get hooked in.
If you are worried about the two of you fighting, inform the school's guidance counselor so that they can confront her and should anything transpire you look not as guilty because you tried to prevent it. Keep your cool, think smart, and you will come out victorious in the end.

The people that matter (those that are truly your friends) will know the truth about her vicious lies. My advice is to do your best to ignore the whole situation. Talking about it will only keep the fires burning. If you don't fan the flames, the gossip will soon fizzle out and people will move on to something else...and the rumor will become old news.

I know this is hard but ignore her. If she sees that the rumor is not effecting you one way or the other, it will come to a hault. Make sure she does not see or hear you talking about it at all. If you act like it doesn't bother you than it will all fade out.
