Yes, it is scary, but normal. I asked a practioner about them because a couple of times they were so bad I thought I would pass out. She said even that severe was normal as long as there was no bleeding accompanying or following them. All that was a couple of weeks ago and I am still PG - at 8 or 9 weeks and counting!

I didn't know I was pregnant until about 5 weeks and before that I thought my period was coming. I had the normal "period coming" cramps. I believe this is common. If at any time the cramping becomes severe or accompanied by bleeding go to the doctor immediately.

yes it is normal to get mild period like cramps in the first week....am now pregnant with number 4(and had two miscarriages) and the cramps were present each time.

yes very normal mine felt like i was going to start i'm 16 weeks and i still get cramps sometimes

yes they feel like period cramps right? that happened to me each time and im pregnant with baby number three. good luck.
