WII should win, the ps3 and xbox might have great graphics and better computing and rendering power, but the wii not only allows you to play the game, but actually to get involved in the game. It lets you get off the couch and actually move your body instead of pushing buttons.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
But with regards to the a 'console war' I believe that it has never been about that. At the end of the day it's the games that sell the consoles in the first place.
At present I'm still the owner of the cool PS2 and still there are great games coming out for it. in particular God of War 2.
the Wii or the Xbox 360 doesn't really appeal to me. The Wii I am sure as with most nintendo consoles, will dissolve from the shelfs within a year. The novelty of flying around with a controller will eventually wear off. The only thing that I can think of that makes the 360 worth buying is the online play, apart from that maybe half an hour on gears of war.
in my opinion I do think that the PS3 will have a hell of alot to offer, but saying that, the initial release titles for the console doesn't grab me. You are right the console is expensive, but we all know that is due to the blu ray.
Personally I will not buy a PS3 until it is at least 2 years old.
I know this may be a pointless read, but i'm tired and got up at 5am this morning for absolutely no reason at all.

Wii. This system has the broadest appeal, and will attract the most users and will therefore have the biggest installed base. This in turn will attract the most developers. Nintendo will earn the most money from it, since they do not lose money on each console sold, as MS and Sony do.
As for the other two - the XBox 360 and PS3, it is a tossup for second place. The smaller hardcore gamer crowd will sort that out.

I've played all three, and finally now own all three... and I can tell you the only one that gets any real use is the Wii. Lost Planet is fun for 360, but there's only so much shoot-em-up one can stand before it's gets routine. The PS3 is still in it's box. the games are pretty and all, but the only reason I have it to be able to watch BR movies. We play the Wii almost nightly. Whether it's Zelda or Monkey Ball, or Wii Sports, or the surgery game (Trauma Center I think it's called) we have a blast with it! Plus, it gets us off the couch.

PS3 seems to make systems that are more diverse and expandable so in the long run we believe it will be close between PS3 and Xbox 360 but PS3 will ultimately come out on top again.
Nintendo will keep the position as number one for parties, entry gamers, and youth.
In the hand held industry there is a new hand held coming out that is open ended and infinitely expandable. Look for it in about eighteen months.

I enjoy the wii with friends, not alone.
For that reason I believe that the 360 will win. ANd believe me, it makes pain in my *** because I was an old sony fan. However the ps3 is not what I was expecting and it's sad.
Too, I think that M$ will win the HD battle with hd-dvd because in most of the people mind, the HD-DVD is the one that match with HD-TV whereas "BLUERAY-DISC" match with???? With HD-TV too but the average customer don't understand this and think that blueray need a special tv to work with.

Sorry this really isn't an answer but this is the 7th generation gaming systems.
There will be no clear cut winner either, I'm sure all consoles will sell millions but people will always have their own opinion on games and stuff.
