Have you ever decided to forgive someone and before you get the chance they do something to upset you further?

Have you ever decided to calm your road rage and as soon as you go for a drive it seems like everyone is cutting you off?

Yes. I tend to be negative. It's a struggle to be positive & it seems that when I try, terrible things happen to knock me down again...but the point is to be positive no matter what. It is an outlook, a way of reacting to whatever life throws your way. Even in the examples you give, while it may be difficult you can still choose to change your perception & not let things get to you & be positive. Easier said than done, I know!

THIS IS WORTH READING:

Your mind creates the obstacles that you encounter. They seem "blatant" because they are. They were "blatantly" invited into your life by your "negatively charged anticipation".

For instance, you may decide(or tell yourself) to calm your road rage, but there may still be a part of you that still believes you're going to have to battle traffic. You may decide to "tell yourself" that you're going to forgive someone, but there may still be a part of you that expects(or believes that) that person will disappoint you again. It's not to say that you should blame yourself for the actions of others, but negative thoughts breed negative outcomes. This is called the law of attraction(the concept that like attracts like).

Definition of the scientific "Law of Attraction"(which btw explains the reason for Murphy's Law):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_Attraction

This concept can not only be applied to avoiding the things you don't want, but also in "attracting" the things that you do. Whether it's love, money, happiness, success or any dream that you have in the world; it can be manifested in your life simply by believing in it's existence in your life. The process of "absolute belief" in something in your life, beyond mere "positive thinking", generates a positive message to the world(universe) that attracts to you the very things that you believed would be.

Last year they made a documentary that illustrates "The Law of Attraction" and explains how it works and how it applies to different areas of your life. The documentary is called "The Secret" & is the only film that I know of to visibly change the lives of people around me in phenomenal ways. I bought it and it was incredibly worth it.
