The probability of any specific order of flips on six flips of a coin would be 1 in 2^6, 1/64, which is 0.015625 or 1.5625%.

The odds of HHHTTT are the same as the odds of HHTTHH or HTHTTT; any specific order of results for six flips has the same probability. (For varied numbers of tries, n, or a different number of possible results, a, for each try, your probability would be 1 in a^n. Here, we had a = 2 because a coin has two sides, and n = 6 because it was part of the problem statement.) If, on the other hand, you meant the odds of getting three heads and three tails in any order, that is a different, more difficult problem.

The probability of heads or tails on any flip is 1/2. For you to get heads, heads, heads, tails, tails, tails on 6 flips is (1/2)^6 = 1/64

I am not sure, but when you flip a coin the probability that it lands heads or tails is 1/2.

1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/2^6 = 1/64.

I am not sure, but it sounds logical, so it must be right.

Total possibilities for 6 flips = 2*2*2*2*2*2 = 64
You need 1 combination of the 64 possibilites so the probability would be 1/64

It depends on whether you're asking if there will be three heads tosses and three tails tosses among 6 tosses, or if they will be in that order.

If you want them specifically in that order then it's (1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) = 1/2^6 = 1/64

If you just want to know the odds of having 3 heads and 3 tails then it's 1/2 as stated above.

who rated E with a bad answer - that's exactly right. why? because probability is the number of possible events over the total number of outcomes so it's 1 event over 64 outcomes

1/64

6 flips of 3h and 3t. so if 3 is half of 6. it would be 1/2 or 0.5
