If you learn about scams, then you know what to look out for. Go with your gut. If something promises you quick, easy, instant riches, it is definitely a scam.

Have you thought about doing medical transcription from home?

A lot of doctor's offices and hospitals are hiring people to do medical transcription from home because it's a win-win situation for all. It is cheaper for the docs and hospitals to do it this way.

If you are experienced in IT or Web Design you could try a company that provide those services. I have a couple of friends that live outside the US and have their situation set-up for telecommuting to the point their customers don't even realize it. VoIP allows them to keep their phone numbers and payments are sent electronically to US banks. Fabulous set-up.
