Which one would it be? It has to be a power they already have that you’re taking away. How would this make the stories more interesting for you? What new challenges would the hero face? We’ve all seen stories where our hero temporarily lost the powers, or some of the powers, but kept on being brave in the face of awful odds. Do you think your favorite hero would be improved by permanently losing a power?

PLEASE, NO “I HATE Z-MAN ‘COS HE’S TOO POWERFUL, MAKE HIM A WEAKLING.”

You have to choose your FAVORITE hero, or you get no points!

I would take away Superman's greatest power. His sense of right and wrong. There have been many stories where Supes becomes a villain, and that always stems from either NOT being raised by Ma and Pa Kent, where Supes grows up with no inkling of supressing his true power or by Lois being murdered, forcing him to be colder, sterner and darker.

I would take all this away. A brand new beginning. Smallville utterlt destroyed, Lois leaves him, and his job at the Planet gone. Where does he go now. Clark will be utterly lost, and Supes may just want to dump the identity. And Superman will lose his purpose. He'll be more Kal-El then ever, probaly spending most of his time at the Fortress. He will still have the lessons he has learned up to this point, but no one to remind him.

Now when he is in a dispute of whether to kill Luthor, tolerate Batman, and how to court Wonder Woman will be far more human, and less Superhuman.

His humanity was always his greatest weapon. Its what made him an icon, legend, and hero.

I'd like to see Jean Grey (from X-Men) without her psychic powers. She's a very gifted mutant who can not only read minds but also move things using telekinesis (both skills can come in handy!)
If Jean had to face challenges, like taking on Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, she'd have to rely on good old fashioned thinking skills - like strategy and tact. However, of course, assuming her fellow X-Men still had their powers, she could utilize team work to get the job done.
Of course, the down side to Jean's powers are Phoenix, which is her extreme opposite. If Jean didn't have her telepathic powers to begin with, naturally Phoenix wouldn't be an issue for her anymore. In a way, it might actually be doing her a favor.
Great question - it's fun to think about that!! :)

I would take away Wolverine's accelerated healing power, to see how that would affect his fighting style.

I will take Aqua-man ability to swim, and since I can't swim, I will challenge him to jump in a lake with me to see who will live longer.
