A baby can be safely taken off formula and given cow's milk after 12 months.

She should have been drinking milk a long time ago. Your pediatrician should have told you that a long time ago. My daughter has been drinking milk since she's been walking and that is 7 months old.. You will know when to give her milk when she drink to much Similac. That is not going to hold her.
Try 2% first. That won't be t too hard on her stomach. Then if she likes that and isn't lactose intolerant try whole milk. Please she needs to drink milk.

you should always give your child milk it does not have to be similac. I'm not sure of your child's health problems or allergy's, so I will not suggest what you should use. but I will suggest that you speak with your child's pediatrician to see what is best for him/her
