I'm a doer, not one to sit back,

Easter several years ago I fixed dinner for my daughters and their families. My youngest daughter had to work until 5 so we went ahead and started dinner without her. During dinner one of the kids had an accident an my son-in-law proceeded to deal with it. All was fine until he turned the accident into a corporal punishment, I thought he went overboard, not only did he degrade the poor child he also insisted she stand in the corner until her mother come in from work and to top the whole thing off said if she didn't stop crying he would give her something to cry about...well, I saw red...I mean it was an accident to begin with, wipe the milk up for goodness sake...and what was with the deal of having to stand in the corner??? all kids spill a drink and it's not like she was jumping around and goofing off and I'd have cried too if someone yelled at me for having an accident...anyway, I got up from the table, got my coat and hers and walked her out the door not saying a word to anyone, later that night I had 2 daughters on my door step. We talked and agreed that from that day forward the grand babies would not be punished in front of me unless I was the one doing the punishment (yeah right). Married friends are another I can't stand to hear one adult put another down in front of me and I'll tell them take it home and I leave the room
