Ok most of you are going to be disappointed but here is how I think it could happen
Let’s say you were taken to space to the nearest star Alpha Centauri and you met some sexy aliens, had fun and stuff. Then when your time is up NASA sent you back to earth and after a while you started to miss that sexy alien and rewind some memories you two had back then. Now when you keep thinking deep and deeper you would almost feel like you were physically there, it is clearly visualized in your head, all the sound the sensation, the smell everything is coming back to you. Finally you make it all the way to Alpha Centauri with in a few minutes you are there. Now the question is how long did it take you to reach there? Like I said just a few minutes right? But how long does it take for light to reach earth from Alpha Centauri, almost three years.
So if we could scientifically discover what these thinking substances are then we would know they are definitely faster than photons or particles of light.
You get my point right?

if we find a means some kind of machine to send our body together with the thinking substances, then we could travel physically faster than light

When you thinking about a faraway place, you are staying inside your head, visiting a virtual model of that place that is now disconnected with the real physical location. It could have changed dramatically over there, but your model is based on the way it WAS, not as it is now. A change down there does not update your model, so you do not have an existing "live" connection.
Can you think of two places at the same time? If so, does this mean you can be at both of those places at the same time? If I think of the whole universe, does it mean I am everywhere?
So, there is your answer. There is no motion. Too bad, hey?

Geez, Alpha Centauri is 4.3 light years away, not three. There are no living beings -- sexy or otherwise -- because Alpha Centauri is a star not a planet. Why don't you try your hypothesis this way? Think as hard as you can about some memories you had with someone else in your past. Now, go there! Are you there yet? What do you see? Thinking substances? What are you talking about? Memory is not magical; it follows very specific scientific principals and visualization is not the same thing as being there.
Update: You are probably right; I do not know what you are talking about because I think in a linear, rational way. All I did was to point out some realistic questions about the subject i.e. there could never be aliens on a star; there are no "thinking substances". And I asked you to try this yourself not by "going to Alpha Centauri" but by thinking deep and deeper about somewhere on Earth you have been before and see if it works.

If you are implying that some how Alpha Centauri the memory and the Alpha Centauri the place are one in the same, and by filling your senses with the memory you are actually at the physical place Alpha Centauri, then you probably need to go visit a phyc. or read Descartes Meditations 1-3.
Also I do think it is possible to travel faster then the speed of light, because enstien said, if you were traveling at the speed of light, and someone shinned a flashlight behind you, then the light that was coming out of the flash light would be traveling at the speed of light relative to the person holding it, and relative to you, even though you are traveling at the speed of light. This has somthing to do w/ quatum physics. I have no idea how this makes sense though

Well if you could go to a place 4 light years away just by thinking, that would be a wonderful and useful discovery, and you would indeed be going faster than light if you could do that. But you can't really do that, or at least nobody ever has. Also, there is no such thing as "thinking substances". Thinking is something you do, not a substance that just exists. It is like saying "reading substances" or "running substances", as if you could learn to read by obtaining some substance, or run faster by obtaining some other substance. Actions and substances are just not the same thing.

what you mean is that delusions travel faster than light. Could be.
...I asked a question about this once - seems like Alpha Centauri would be a pretty whacked-out place to go looking for fun

but anyway, what if.... when you were doing the wild thing you got some quantum entanglement going with your beau? When you got back, would you be able to yank each other's chains across the interstellar void?
Can sex travel faster than light? and would anyone want it to?

You have a hypothesis, just a proposal. You have to prove it to make it real or a theory. There may very well be a way to travel faster than light, but I think it's beyond the realm of our present finite existence bounded by space and time. There's some ideas out there that you could travel faster than light if you can change the space and time you are in. It's all theoretical, still sitting on the blackboard. But who knows what the mind's potential is. There's a very fine line between reality and fantasy.

From what I understand, count will become extra enormous as you attitude the cost of sunshine, so, you may desire an limitless volume of thrust to actual get there. you're able to get close in theory. of direction, you may probably get fried before then. shall we, even nonetheless, get to declare... a 10th of the cost of sunshine. that may not ensue in our lifetime nonetheless. some factors of physics are kinda bizzarro. i've got heard communicate approximately wormholes. yet you at the instant are not fairly moving at those speeds with wormholes, purely popping out and in of existence or something like that. Oh, and as a thoroughly after the reality ingredient, i did not even pay plenty ideas to the flying saucers ingredient. To me, it fairly would not prepare to the question, to no count if gentle velocity may well be discovered. Sagan became into quite convincing in his explanation of the Drake equation so some distance as i'm in contact, so, i'm going to basically set the flying saucers subject count aside.

Write up a 100 some page report with schematics, mathematical formulas, and the signatures of aforementioned Alpha Centaurians and THEN you might be on to something.
Until then you a simply dreaming. But then again, most true discoveries start as dreams......

The difference is that you CANNOT interact with the alien dudes you had sexy fun with. You actually raise an interesting point about the enigmatic nature of reality, but beyond that, you could just bring a camera with you when you hang out with your friends. When you watch it later, smoke lots of weed....you'll think you are there. Maybe that's enough reality.
