I dont think they actually cancelled it, through extensive research, I have found out that The final season wasn't translated. The "Sailor Stars" season is the final one, and there is no english translation of it in existence. If you go on ebay they have it up for bidding, and it plays on american dvd players, I have all 5 seasons plus the movies (R, S, and Super S) on DVD. I love that show and believe that is one of the best Animes and Mangas made....and yes there's an anime and manga version. The manga version has sadly not been translated either.

I'm 20 and one of my best friends is 23 and we still LOVE to watch Sailor Moon.

Whats your fave sailor scout? Mine obviously mars, I also love ChibiChibi.

Well, the reason why Sailor Moon was cancelled (in terms of broadcast on TV) has to do with the show's american liscencing. A year or two or so back the company that had sailor moon under their liscencing (which was Pioneer at the time) had the renewal of the series come up. (Basically you have to renew lisencsing of a series after a certain amount of time) Because of it being a older series and because less interest was in the show then when it first started and also because Toei didn't really want to give liscensing of the final series Sailor Stars due to the nature of the show and how much editing would have to be done, the companies involved in the American liscensing of Sailor Moon decided not to renew it. So, basically no on in the US owns the rights to the show anymore so you can't broadcast the show if no company owns it, so because of declining interest and because of the chances of them getting the final series very slim, they passed on that and now sailor moon has been cancelled. =/

I don't know why they did, probably because new anime was coming out and Sailor Moon was old news.
I was just talking to my Bro about this and told him they should bring it back on the air, they he called me a loser because I'm 15 and still would like to watch Sailor Moon.

I love the anime, it was my 1st anime I had ever watched when I was just 5 years old!

It wasn't cancelled a lot as its settlement expired. regardless of the reality that by using low rankings in the route of the proper of its run CN had no reason to boost the settlement. at present Sailor Moon is not less than license via a corporation so no community ought to air it now in spite of in the journey that they had to.

They didn't. The series just ended. They cancelled it because it had ACTUALLY come to the end of the series and plot.
