It depends on your sensitivity level & how much you want to shield your child... they don't curse, & there's barely any violence (although recently there was a fight between two guys, but it was just a scuffle & no blood or anything) or sex. It's rare that you'll even see a kiss. However, they do talk about some adult situations concerning relationships. Nothing too explicit, & usually in general terms. Right now, for example, there's a situation involving a custody battle for one of the characters & the main character who used to date him wrote a reference letter for him & her husband finds the letter & gets upset. So, if you don't want your child to watch a show that discusses relationship issues, then you may not want her to watch. However, if you have a scale of 1-10, 1 being very appropriate for children and 10 being very inappropriate, personally, I would put Desperate Housewives at about an 8 or 9, and Gilmore Girls would be down around a 3 by comparison.

Yes, I would let her watch it. Gilmore Girls has no inappropriate behaviors such as smoking, drinking and sexual content. It's about a beautiful relationship between a mother and daughter. I would let my 8 year old daughter watch it. Its a good show.

I was just reading some of the answers people gave you....your not going to be a bad mother if you let her watch it......the best answer was......someone suggested watching a couple of shows with her......thats a really good idea. YOU will probably like it.

There is some mature content sometimes, but I don't see to much wrong with the show for a 9 yr old, but she probably wont get most of the jokes as they will go over her head (like it does for many adults). It's about the relationship between a mother and daughter at it's core and can be very funny and moving.

the gilmore girls is a harmless show. there's some kissing, but nothing overly sexual or inappropriate. i'm well versed, i own all of the seasons. your daughter probably wouldn't get the jokes (which are vague at best sometimes), etc., but i can't see how it would do her any harm. it really is like a short chick flick. but you should watch it a few times to see what you think, because it all depends on your opinion of the show in the end.

It's not inappropriate. I just dont think a 9 year old, would get all the jokes on the show. And understand the dialect. I would say 15 years or older could probably 100% understand it. But I love the show. It doesn't have any sexuality, maybe (suggestions) but over all the show it very clean. Its definatley a chick flick

It really depends which episode it is, but it seems OK. A lot of the things in the show she may not even understand because it's confusing if you don't really watch it from the beginning. But, it seems it would be OK, as long as you checked what the episode was about. Be very open and tell her that she cannot watch certain ones becuase tthey are innappropriate. Only because certain episodes may have kissing, or talk about certain things. None of the episodes are really innappropriate. It doesn't get too bad.

Hope I helped.

I think it's appropriate, but a lot of the things will go straight over her head. They have a lot of pop culture references that even I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with, but there is no cussing or violence. Maybe you should watch it with her the first time, turn it off if it seem inappropriate. Let her give it a shot.

Several folks have already stated it and i have got to agree. This was once an undoubtedly horrible movie. I rented it on a promise that "I you loved the saw films you might have got to look this" style of thing. Now not simplest is this movie a nasty choice for a little one, it's not worth someone's time. The acting is horrible, the certain results are low cost and cheesy, the plot is absurd. I'm not sure how your daughter got the impact that this movie was once academic but it's now not whatsoever.

I see nothing wrong with it I mean there are some make out scenes but it is mostly a wholesome show go ahead and let her watch it but sit with her to answer questions if she has any and a lot of the more inappropriate jokes are subtle and depending on her level of understanding may go over her head

I rented it on a promise that "I you loved the talked about videos you've were given to confirm this" style of element. not in hardship-free words is this movie a foul decision for a baby, it isn't well worth everybody's time. The appearing is terrible, the particular consequences are low priced and tacky, the plot is absurd. i'm not particular how your daughter were given the effect that this action picture grow to be tutorial regardless of the indisputable fact that it really is not by any skill.
