Okay, so all women should be happy with their body types, right? Right. But have you ever noticed that no one is?

I don't mean necessarily that women always complain about their figures (stereotype, I know, but it's true in a vast majority of cases). That, of course, is additional proof, but I mean that they devalue other body types in order to feel better about their own. Think about it. My guess is, you're thinking of skinny girls who always make fun of larger girls. While this is true, it's comparatively rare to the reverse.

A movie came out a while ago, "Real Women Have Curves". Even if you've never seen it, the title basically says it all. But where does that leave the skinny girls? They are somehow lesser women, and thereby lesser people, simply because they were not given fuller figures, for better or for worse. You always hear men in the media discussing the fact that they prefer women who have more "meat" (for lack of a better term). This, of course, is a matter of personal opinion, but no one ever quotes a man saying that he prefers a skinny woman; that might be deemed offensive.

There's a war on thin women going on, and it's entirely unfair. It's easy for people to make fun of these girls, calling them anorexic, skin and bones, and all the rest of it. No one calls bigger women fat anymore, because that's offensive. And it is -- but so are those other terms. Skinny girls are dehumanized in our culture; they aren't even considered to have feelings, apparently. (Most) thin girls can't help their figure any more than (most) larger girls can help theirs. It's really disgraceful that only large women get to be happy with their bodies; skinny women have to gain weight if they want to be normal.

In ads and promos for "real beauty" and the like, one will find that it's only more curvy women who are represented in this: you can't see the ribcage of a single one. Look if you disbelieve me, it's sadly true.

In a world of self esteem uber alis, one would think that everyone would get equal treatment in the boosting of it. Not so, apparently. It's not rare at all to hear someone telling a thin girl, "I can see your ribs, that's disgusting! Gain some weight!" No one EVER says, "Hey, your fat rolls are pretty nasty, you should go on a diet!" Neither of those things are kind or funny. And yet, people seem to think that the former is both those things.

I'm not so sure about how this works for men, because I'm not a man, but I think I can fairly safely say that the same rules apply as far as muscular versus more wiry builds on their part.

My point, then, is: shouldn't all women get to feel beautiful, even the ones who make everyone apparently feel sick, since you can see some of their bones? I'm not saying that curvy women are lesser in any way. I'm just saying that they are equal, and should be treated as such. Again, there are some areas of this that are questions of personal taste; that still leaves the fact that no one seems to want skinny women to exist anymore.

because of the fact many times whilst human beings say you're so skinny, consume something, they're joking and as you mentioned, giving a compliment. once you're telling somebody that's obese that they are so fat that they might desire to shed weight, that's an insult. and that i'm particular the BMI attempt did no longer say you have been anorexic because of the fact there is not any way they are able to renowned that. it could, in spite of the undeniable fact that, say which you're underweight. only like human beings could be obese and nonetheless be healthy, human beings could be underweight and nonetheless be healthy. It only relies upon on if that's organic or no longer. once you're skinny on the grounds which you're only needless to say skinny there is not any longer something incorrect with that. in case you have exercised to that factor in spite of the undeniable fact that, there probable is a situation. you're probable nonetheless in severe college. via the years, your metabolism will decelerate. yet once you extremely want to earnings weight I advise plenty and many protein.

I find it the opposite. I'm thin, but not a stick and my face is not as great as my body. I have had 2 boyfriends in my entire life, no guys would talk, smile, flirt or say hello to me. Unless it's just because I was living in CT...

I'm married now to my second bf and still the same size...I guess he just went for my personality. And to the girl below that said something about thin girls never marrying and the first to divorce...we're still happily married and don't believe in divorce unless one of us is unfaithful, to which I can say...we both love each other, not other people so neither of us see cheating happening in our future because we have something called trust.

I think face and body are both equally important.

But to go back on what someone said earlier, fat women usually have fat faces. It seems to me like women find larger woman's faces prettier than men do. I guess they see through that extra layer of fat better than we do. But I am biased, because I am not exactly a BBW admirer. I prefer my women in decent shape.

That's not true. I'm fairly skinny and not that good looking(In my opinion. Others tell me differently, I just call them blind) and I don't have guys after me. Ever. I've had two boyfriends total. There are plenty of bigger girls who are beautiful that have boyfriends at my school. So I'd have to say that I disagree with you on this subject.

Say 'thank you' to the fashion industry for this one.

I heard an interesting theory that since the fashion industry is run by a bunch of homosexual men, they want all the women to look like thin young men to cater to THEIR personal tastes.

Unfortunately, this preference has become part of popular culture, since young women idolise the catwalk and clothes models, and the clear message it sends is, "BE THIN OR ELSE YOU ARE UGLY"
... even at the expense of your health and your natural beauty. 'Coz women are supposed to have boobs and a bum, and this doesn't really suit the personal preferences of the fashion world

... Very sad.

Because men are fickle. But look at it from the other way...why is it that the skinny girls never get married (and if they do are usually the first to divorce) but the heavier girls marry happily for life...? (and BTW, I weigh all of 125lbs, so trust me on this)

What makes you think that? IF you were to ask a guy if the face orbody of a girl is more important, than believe me, he'd say they were tied. Besides, if she is fat, she probably wont have that prety of a face(chubby cheeks ^^)
