Yes it was. The Uk became worried about India's reaction and so channel 4 fixed the results. At the end of the day were it not for the so-called "racist" comments then this woman woud not have won. Most people in the UK are saying the same thing and to be honest she has not done badly out of it.. set to make £10 million from our counrtry over the next few years.

At the end of the day India had a cheek burning effigies of people given that this country is more discriminatory than most others towards black people and your own darker skinned people.

Even if the programme was not fixed she won the "sympathy vote" simple as that!!

They let Shilpa win because they did not want Thousands of Indians outside their studios protesting.

Of course it was fixed, which is why I no longer watch it. Channel 4 doesn't want a huge asian/islamic/hindu protest outside it's offices. I don't know why people waste their money even voting on it. What we really need is an independant survey afterwards to find out how people ACTUALLY voted and to shame Endemol.

No, i think that they did not fix it. This was be too difficult as the results are independently adjudicated, like the lottery. It just wouldnt be worth the risk. In a way the result was fixed by the media attention given to her, also you have to consider the amount of people from indian heritage in the uk who were voting in a way for themselves.
