mp3 on myspace?

Question

i'm starting a music site on myspace...and i have songs i want to add, but it won't allow me because it says it has to be a mp3. what is a mp3. could someone please tell me.

you need to slow down and learn this stuff yourself. don't expect everyone else to figure it all out for you. we had to figure it our for ourselves. no one did it for us.

MP3 is a compression format that computers use to shrink a song from a very large size to a smaller size that is easier to transfer and carry around, you can get more in dept information in what an MP3 is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3, that said there is allot of free programs that you can use to convert your music from a CD to MP3, if you have Windows Media Player 11 you can do it very easily, just follow this instructions:

1.- Right click were it reads Windows Media Player at the top of the screen
2.- Click on tools
3.- Click on Options
4.- Click on the Rip Music tab
5.- Under Format, click on the arrow pointing down and click on MP3
6.- On Audio quality select at least at 192Kbps, this will give you CD quality audio
7.- Check the Rip CD when inserted check box
8.- Make sure the copy protect music is NOT checked
9,- Click on OK
10.- Insert CD

Once you rip you music it will be under the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\My Documents\My Music"

Just point to this location to upload your music.

Windows Media Player is free and if you don't have it you can get it here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx just click on the download link.
