LMAO..It's funny that you ask this question. I'm a female truck driver and I've always said I have to look at my toes to remind myself sometimes that I'm still a girl!(I keep mine polished all the time).
I think it's because we know guys don't "normally" paint their toes. We all have seen men who paint their finger nails!

Why toes? I feel all girly when I paint my fingernails, put on makeup, wear earrings or jewelry, lipstick, stockings, highheels, skirts, or lacy underwear. I could go on and on. So again....Why toenail polish?

Because it's pretty and so feminine and so NOT something a guy would do. I keep mine painted all year, just to feel good.

It just looks pretty and it is a very feminine thing to do. Most guys think that it's sexy, my husband does!
