since solace is comfort in a time of trouble,,, lack of comfort, or or lack of empathy,,,,, would not be solace , otherwise, solace for an individual can be many things or come from many people or events
if you lost money, solace might be knowing you didnt really need it,,,, finding it,,,,, someone giving you the amount you lost,,, knowing you could earn more,,,, or someone saying they are sorry,,,,,,
if you lost money and the only thing in your mind that would make it right was finding it,,,,,,, someone saying sorry or someone giving you the same amount of money, would not be solace for you

⥠⥠being mean to someone wouldnt be solace.. but that is a big question... maybe you wanted to know what is solace? which is giving comfort to someone during a bad time ⥠â¥
