Yes.
Many of you know that Pluto isn't a planet anymore. What many of you don't know is that Pluto wasn't declared a non-planet due to some collaboration of astronomical nerds..the reason why is because Pluto isn't there anymore.
Let me explain.
Pluto got tired of the Earth talking smack about how it's the only planet with known lifeforms on it...feeling a bit inferior Pluto tried to shuffle its way into Neptune's orbit in order to slingshot itself into a kamikaze slam against Earth thereby destroying it. At the very first word of this threat from Pluto..I decided to take matters into my own hands...so I kinda sorta...got this really big magnifying glass...aimed it towards Pluto and using the sun's rays...I melted it....so there you have it...I'm a hero. That noone knows about. Shame on you.

didnt save the world from anything but saved a kid from drowning - twice in the same day coz the idiot did the same thing 2 times in the deep end of the pool

Yes.
Ive planted coast redwoods in my garden.
They lock up carbon and breathe out oxeygen.
Seeing that the redwood groves in california have been reduced to only 1% of there former habitat.In a few protected groves.
Im going to plant more and have my own redwood forrest in kent.
So in a way im saving the world constantly.

I saved it from a pint of B&J's Chunky Monkey last night. And I'll probably save it from about a six-pack of diet coke today. Not much of real danger, however.
