Um, last time I checked, Bush was still president.....giving him veto power. He's the one that put this country in the "tailspin" that it's in now. The newly elected Dems won't even have any real power unless a dem is elected as pres, so what's the real issue here? I think it's that the current administration has screwed things up and ticked everyone off so bad, even the people that used to back him, that he and every other republican like yourself is running for cover, looking for a scapegoat, but guess what? There is none. He has burned almost every bridge possible and now has nowhere to hide. Look in the mirror pal, you're the one to blame.

What did the Democrats do to cause this "amoral spin". Abortion has been around for probably longer than you have been alive. I cannot figure out what you mean by religious persecution, and drug use has been a problem for most countries for a long time. You have been, it souds, listening to too many conservative talk show hosts. Democrats are not the devil, or the devils worker bees seeking to destroy the U.S.

For years and years, the Republkans have been the party of the Selfish, and the Immoral. The selfish, or immoral party is the political party that has been taught to prize themselves above everything, hence they:
1. Do not respect others—not their lives, property, rights, freedoms, nor opinions. They only respect themselves, their own feelings, opinions, rights and freedoms.

2. Dissipate Wealth—by placing all their efforts into indulging their impulses while avoiding the demands of others, they can only exhaust, and not accumulate, wealth

3. Are Tyrannical—being a slave to their own emotions means they demand everyone else becomes the same slave.

4. Are irresolute— at the mercy of the vagaries of their feelings they have lost the military spirit and are whimsical, disloyal and cowardly.

5. Are irrational—unrestrained by any morality except that of convenience, they are unable to resist the demands of their impulses, so their reason becomes a slave of their feelings, which corrupts their
understanding.

6 Win Misery despite indulging their urges they find only unhappiness.

I think that just about describes the Republikans and Bush/Cheney to a teeeee.

and then people who did not screw up want to help so they say it must be us who screwed this person up so we should help, even at the cost of the ones who did the right things
