x=10+1/2x
x-1/2x=10
20-1/2of20=10
Therefore x=20.
Remember every time you move a number or letter(x) over sides of the equals sign you must change its value from + to - or - to +.

Multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the fractions:
2(x)=2(10+1/2x)
2x=20+x
Subtract x from both sides:
x=20
Check:
20=10+1/2(20)
20=10+10
20=20
I hope this helps!

x = 10 + 1/2x
2(x) = 2(10) + 2(1/2x)
2x = 20 + x
2x - x = 20 + x - x
x = 20
