I really am looking to buy a PSP tomo...what does everyone think? ive nerver had a psp before but i was thinking it looks good. an idea to keep me awake on night shifts at my terminal.
whats the memory thing all about? can i just play a game and that be it and play a film too. how does it work? and the battery? can u just plug it in the mains?any help much apprecaited!

yeah i would highly recommend them they are great....
you need to buy a memory stick to put in them....ask at the store what type you should get....
yeah you can play games, films, music......
you can a charger that plugs in the mains to charge in up

hello mate, really is simple. the psp will come with memory on a little card. you will be able to save games and put your photos on it. if you want to listen to music or watch dvds you have to save them to this card via your pc. however this takes a lot more memory, so you'll probably need to buy a larger memory card.
although you can buy the dvds that go straight in where the games go. these are called UMD's.
to put music and dvds onto your psp will require you having seperate software available from games shops.
the battery works like a mobile phone battery. when its dead you charge it. or just plug it into the socket while playing and the battery isnt used.

I have had my PSP for just over a year now and i can say i have played every day of that year, it is perfectly made of course as it is Sony, as for keeping you awake, it will certainly do that, you might never sleep again once you have brought one.
I still have got the original memory card (Stick duo thing) that came with mine in the box but you can go silly and have a 2GB memory card (Best to buy from EBay not Sony) as for game and film watching, its as simple as flicking a button out pops the game cartridge (Looks like a small CD in a case) and inserting a film disc, personally i have one film and it shows them fine but it is not the point of the PSP to watch films and once you have found a good game that you like you wont want to watch a film, go on treat yourself buy one.....................................

memory means your game gets saved and you can download stuff of the pc computer,games,video yes it can be battery or mains it come with charger which you can have plugged in as you play and it also has wireless which lets you connect to a wireless broadband connection .
ive 2 psps in my house my sons and they can get online using my wifi.
