This is exactly the conclusion that I came to,this verdict was given to calm things down a little, she came over to me as a spoiled little rich girl, never mind, she got what she was after, loads of free publicity and some cash.

A vote is a vote

So yes she won fairly

But I do feel the media treated others unfairly.
Sorry but I watched it on sky. and channel 4, shows the bits it wants. Usually out of context. Maybe its a time thing.

Having said that I didn't like her when she arrived,
I thought she acted above everyone else.
But I think Mr Jackson had a hand in that. He said about the colour of their skin several times, Shilpa said No to him that she didn't think that. I Liked her for standing up to him.

As she relaxed and let her hair down, She proved me wrong, I totally changed my view of her.

And out of the inmates oops sorry housemates, yes she was one out of the final group that if I had voted, I would have voted for. Shilpa or Ian.

We all have our own views. So if I have offended anybody, I am truly sorry.

Prrrrrrr

I think all reality shows are fixed. Who counts the votes and who are the verifiers as there is no way to check the votes it leaves it open to abuse.
As for Shilpa Shetty winning there was not much to actually choose from in that house but good luck to her even though she won due to the sympathy votes.

No, it wasn't fixed. But the boo's she got leaving the house lead me to believe that there was a huge ethnic vote.

And thats not to say Shilpa shouldn't have won, but she wasn't the nicey nicey goody person everyone seems to be making her out to be.

And Jade wasn't the evil tyrant everyone seems to be making her out to be.

But hey, the mob rules.

I dont think Jade was racist, I think she's an uneducated person with a small vocabulary who was incredibly enraged by Shilpa, who admitted she looked down on Jade and others like they were beneath her.

One person that was in that house I DO believe to have racism in them is Jermaine. He was the first person to mention race being an issue without being present at any arguments, and only having Shilpa chewing on his ear.
When he was asked if his wife was black he said "Of Course!"

Racism doesn't just come from white people, and something that might comtain reference to race, doesn't mean its racist.

As soon as the media got their teeth into the story and ran with it Shilpa was a sure bet to win...how could they NOT choose her after all the 'poor girl' had been through with the gobby Jade? To be honest when they said it was her...me and partner both said sarcastically "Oh geez....what a total surprise!!" (not)

I think the reality is that the public are spending money on voting. I f channel 4 were to rig the voting, this would be fraud and result in a massive scandal that would probably topple the company. In short. I don't think they would risk it!

It wasn't fixed, but she certainly benefitted from a sympathy vote, and also a mobilisation of people, like myself, who have never voted on any reality TV show, but wanted to send a message that the silent majority of people in this country were disgusted and appalled at the racist behaviour of Goody and her fellow slags.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? I think although there was some terrible things said, they did edit 25 days of telly into perhaps 15 minutes of uncomfortable behaviour by three housemates.
