Neither Democrats nor Republicans are too gun-friendly, but I *highly* doubt a Democratic president would have any effect whatsoever on the weapons you can and cannot own. Gun ownership laws are almost always in the jurisdiction of the state governments, not the federal government. The federal government, and the executive branch in particular, are a lot less powerful than they are given credit for.

If you're after a broad interpretation of the second amendment, you should study up on the candidates running to be your state's governor and state legislative representatives.

Guns have been taken away from citizens already, DC, NYC, most of Calif, Mass. NJ... and to the supreme embarrassment to those do good liberal Utopian legislators THOSE specific areas now have the highest nationwide gun crime rates.... They can make all the dumass laws they want, they will never take guns out of the hands of the public. Look at Australia, Britain, after their warm fuzzy gun ban went into effect, another gross parliamentary embarrassment... higher burglaries, home invasions, armed robberies, same **** different day.
Ain't gonna happen on my watch...

No. The president is only one part of the legislative trilogy. He, or she, can make recommendations and has a veto power over legislation, but the senate and house write and pass the laws. The SuprememCourt would also wiegh in on this one because it is a matter of amending the Constitution. The last major change in gun control occured when Ronald Reagan was the prsident. Contrary to the conservative soin doctors, Democrats are not poised to disarm American citizens.

You must be one of the people that the NRA has targeted. This is what they want people to believe. The right to bear arms is protected in the Constitution. The Republicans want people to believe that all Democrats want to get rid of guns. This is just not true. I own firearms and I am a staunch Democrat. I do believe, though, that laws could be enacted which would reduce the number of gun crimes.

Not if they want a second term! Too many Americans believe in the right to keep guns. I believe that if I wanted a hunting rifle, I should be able to just go out & buy it. I do have a problem with concealed weapons. It is pretty easy to get a permit to carry a pistol. Generally, when there is a shooting it involves pistols, not shotguns. Pistols are also easy to obtain illegally, requiring no permit.

They will try. As they will control both the executive and the legislative branches just like the Republicorps recently did. We saw how they pushed through every crackpot scheme that they thought was good or would benefit their moneyproviders. The democrats will prove to be the same after all they are all politicians. A leopard and a tiger have different markings but they are both still cats that are predators and will gladly eat you alive.

It will be Hillary. Second, all Patriot laws under Bush remain harmless. Not so with the Clintons. We should remove them. Hillary is declaring as much BUT SHE'S FULL OF BULLSH*T.

3. First enacted law of Hitler was gun removel from Germans in the first month in office. The rest is history.

No. You know, not all democrats hate firearms. I'm a registered democrat and I certainly don't hate them. I was raised around them, taught to use them responsibly and with respect. And yes, I was raised with the attitude that they will take my gun from me when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

And Chuckles...wooo! Can you say drama queen?!
