How long does it take for a third-party check to clear at Bank of America?

usually just a few days,,, at most about a week

It depends a lot of banks will wait until the process is completely over i.e they send the check out, the other bank accepts it and sends it back. It can take a little while. Usually only 5 business days though. Just remember Friday until monday is only one business day.

Take the check and your POA documents to your bank and ask.
