There's nothing you can do, some of us just start at a later time. I got mine at 8 or 9 and my aunt got it at 19. It depends on the child really. If you're that concern about it then take her to her doc but really there's nothing to be worried about. Just give it time and she'll be OK. She might even get it a couple of months from now.

She is completely fine. Friends of mine are 15 and havn't gotten it yet. I know girls who didn't get it till they were 16,17, even 18!Next time you see a doctor, maybe you could bring up the topic, but it is definately nothing to worry about.

That's pretty normal but if you are concerned, talk to your OB/GYN!
And..by the way....BE GLAD! It mean she's probably can't get pregnant! Which is an epicdemic which is strong among teenagers...no matter race, background, social situation, financial situation, ethnicity..etc!

As long as she is healthy, don't worry about it. Let nature take it's course and be happy she doesn't have to deal with this yet. She's one of the lucky.

If she is a very athletic girl she may not get it until later. Also if you have eating disorders it can postpone it and even stop it, lets hope that is not the reason.

You should wait. You starting yours at 13 has no bearing on when she will have hers. Some girls can start mid teens. If you are concerned, contact her OBGYN and asked them what they think and if she should be checked.

Don't panic! Ask the women on her Dad's side of the family when they got their first periods.
