How evolved can one be when you have religious kooks on this bulletin board spewing off ridiculous ancient biblical rhetoric? Also, forgeting that sterile heterosexuals cannot procreate either. Not to mention that homosexuality is found in ALL of the animal kingdoms not just human being. And, judging by the hatred on this message board, I would say that gay people are more RESPECTFUL than heterosesxuals - so esssentially more evolved than straight brainless barbarians.

As an anthropologist, I know that the concept of any sort of "higher evolved" human is a load of baloney.
So no, I guess I don't think they a more highly evolved human. Besides, there's fairly good evidence that homosexuality has been with humankind a very long time, thousands if not millions of years. It's not a recent mutation, if it is a mutation, and so even if you did believe in higher evolved people (which is baloney, remember), you'd have a hard time making that fit your theory.

" Highly evolved " implies that evolution is progressive and directional, which it is not. Let me assure you, as an evolutionary scientist, that gays and lesbians are not " more evolved " than anyone else. You need to review evolutionary theory away from a anthropological perspective and get an evolutionary biological viewpoint.
PS Populations evolve and that means all of a population evolves.

I do not believe homosexuals are more highly evolved.
I believe they are equally evolved.
There are two factors influencing your success in life. On the one side it is the "givens": Your intelligence, how highly you are evolved, your education.
The other one is your "Actions": How much you focus on your goals, how passionate you are to wchieve them, how much of yourself invest into your success.
Homosexuals who openly live their livestyle were forced to go through the whole procedure of finding out who they are, resist pressure from public and family. It is still a major challenge to confess "I am homosexual" to the public.
Therefore I believe they are used to discuss against the opinion of the majority, used to stand for sometimes unpopular opinions and this kind of "forced training" pays back in business life too.

That's a mighty strange statement. Evolution would have to come about through procreation, which neither of the mentioned groups can do.
How such a group could evolve is a mystery.

I do not believe this to be a theory. If it is a theory then what is the evidence to back it up? Also, evolved does not mean better. In evolution it means adapted.

I think is poetic to love someone, whatever his sex is... reminds me of Angelical love (angels have no specified sex)... so I would have to give my vote to bisexuals, despite I'm hetero.
Focusing to gays and lesbians... More evolved would also include the ability to perpetuate the specie more efficiently, and it's known that two people of the same sex can't reproduce... so, to your question I would say NO.

i don't know if i'd call it "more highly evolved". but i do believe that homosexuality is created by nature as a form of population control, since there are no unplanned pregnancies.

Tough one !! But as for me (1)...I do believe in God first of all.. And Gods Word (2) The Bible explains it all. (3) And reproduction is between.. a man & woman / Male or Female . (4) Other wise it would've been ..... Adam & Adam or Eve & Eve... instead of... Adam & Eve . I'ts choices that we humans make in our lives not Gods ! :) peace
