It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolypse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporized, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask are we living in the end of time, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

People started wondering when after Jesus left the earth and the Apostles really thought He would be back right away.
Each culture and era has had their 'end of times' like when the bubonic plaque took out most of Europe, people thought that was the end. A lot of people thought Hitler was going to cause the end. I remember in the 70s or 80s some Indian guru predicted the world ending and hundreds jumped off cliffs committing suicide, then there was the strange 'get thee to Mufreesboro in Tennessee when some guy said the end of the world was going to start... of course it has not.
Since Jesus said even he didn't know nor the angels, I ain't second guessing. However, I do believe when it does come it won't be any isolated tsunaumi, volcano eruption or earthquke. When it does happen you wont' have to watch it on the 6'oclock news cause you will be experiencing it!

People have been asking that for thousands of years. There are always "signs" but the world is still here. Why should we as human beings assume that the world will end before we as a species are extinct? We may be living in the end of human existence ( nothing would be better for poor mother earth is this is the case). .but if the world is destroyed it it will not be the by the hand of a non existent God; it will by our own hubris. Besides all living creatures reach an end so we are all living our end times now. Could be tomorrow- could be today.

I think so. The book of Revelations in the Bible describes our time very well. There're things it says that have not happened yet, but with the advances in modern technology..it wouldn't take long for those things to come about. There's a biblical prophecy about a final temple being built in Jeruselem after which Jesus will come. I've seen some buildings where I live (US) go up in what seems like over night. Just because life seems to be "continuing" ex: babies being born does not mean it won't happen in our lifetime. Jesus said he would return like a "thief in the night."

We have been living in the last days since Christ died on the cross, was resurrected, and went back to heaven to sit on God's right hand. The signs given in the Bible have been happening since that time, as for instance, the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in 70 a.d. If you are really interested in the subject you will find a lot in the Book of Daniel, in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and in the book of Isaiah.
As to when these things will come to completion no one knows.
But they will surely come to completion, and the end of that time is shown to be the beginning of a better, much better time all around.

Ever since the bible came out, people have been saying that they were living in the end times. Many scam artists have capitalized on this. I was watching a show about plague the other day and the people during the black death were sure they were living in the end times. 100 years from now, someone will be asking the same question.

People were fearing "the end of time" when my grandmother was a child...she remembered being terrified by hearing people speak of this. My grandmother lived to be 99, and she has been dead 21 years...so all that worry over nothing. Live for today and let the future play out as it's meant to be

things are a slow and natural progression , thats how the world will end things will happen but sowly unnoticed and gernerational
its not like you'll wake up one morning and the earth will be covered in smog and fire with brimstone from the fuacet
thats how it'll happen when it does otherwise if it was a sudden thing ew might have more of a chance to stop it but when its slow and generational we will let it slip by kinda like global warming it's a slow monster and we'll only know how bad we screwed things up after it's to late to do anything about it

Nope, were just living at the edge of what has not yet happened. If the end of time is near, it'll be the consequence of our own choices and actions as a species, nothing supernatural.
