Yesterday I got a graphic from Pyzam.com that says, "Smile, it makes people nervous." Is this true? if so, that could come in handy for me. I would appreciate any information.
Thanks!!

It of course depends on the smile. Think of the Mona Lisa. Or at least that was the first mental picture that came to my mind when I read your question. It's a kind of half smile that says "I am confident and happy with myself and have what it takes to make it in this world". Most people aren't as confident as all that. And we can become nervous around other people who do have that kind of confidence. Sad, unfortunately.

Smiling makes people happy. Unless you're smiling like Jack Nicholson from The Shining...and holding a meat cleaver in your hand. Then you'll make people very nervous!

Actually I heard that smiles are contagious. Sometimes smiles brighten up a persons day, and sometimes they make people feel better even if you don't know them.

Of course it depends on the situation, but think about facing someone you are in competion with. Usually, you would think they would have a serious, competative expression. How would you feel if, instead, you saw a huge grin?!

I would guess it would depend on the smile. If it's a cat-who-eat-the-bird kinda smile then maybe it would, if there other person is paranoid.

SMILE ANYWAY, IT MAKES MOST PEOPLE HAPPY!
