modem phone help?

i have a ppc 6700 phone from sprint. Am i able to connect the phone to my laptop and use it to go online withouth having to activate something extra on my plan?

if i dont need to do anything, how do i connect?

I am definately not sure but I have t-mobile and I use my t-mobile dash to connect to the internet, call sprint and ask for tech support, they should definately be able to. t-mobile doesnt charge me extra, sprint may or may not.
