Both Michael Jackson & Prince have admitted they were inspired by James Brown. Giving credit where credit is due is not the same as "ripping off" someone's style, especially if you reinvent it as something new, which both artists did.

they both were inspired by him, but i dont think they ripped off James Brown's style. They both have thier own style and michael Jackson is not more creative than Prince.
